The digital beauty editor will be responsible for writing and editing beauty features, news stories, and market guides, representing the brand at events and on-camera, and contributing fresh ideas/concepts for all brand platforms as well as branded content projects. This position will report to our founder.
Pitch, assign, and edit beauty news, features, SEO-driven service stories and product galleries, and reviews.
Write 2-4 articles (features, service stories, and exclusives) per week.
Ideate, strategize, and execute cross-platform features.
Establish and maintain relationships with beauty brands and industry experts to secure multi-platform exclusives.
Appear on camera for social media, video, and branded content campaigns.
Maintain a roster of freelance writers, assign pieces out and manage a budget.
Develop and maintain relationships with estheticians, makeup artists, dermatologists, and other experts in the field.
Attend beauty market appointments and represent the brand at events.
3-5 years covering beauty for a publication
Strong editor, able to edit and write in a fast paced environment
Strong reporting and writing skills
On-camera experience is a big plus

Director of Brand Partnership and E-commerce Merchandising
This role is responsible for brand relationships and the product merchandising of our website to meet or exceed sales/margin goals and customer retention KPIs. The role will both drive the strategy as well as provide tactical execution for a subset of the duties, so we need a candidate who can lead the team while also being willing to roll up their sleeves and do work.
This role is responsible for leading the Brand Partnership and Site/E-commerce merchandising team, driving insights, strategy and execution of site and marketing product merchandising.
This person will work very closely with our founder to identify and build brand partnerships and Merchandising strategies that align with our mission and value.
This person needs to be acutely aware of the trends in the digital marketplace and how to tap into product-driven optimization of our site and marketing that generates a strong response from our customers. To do so, they will utilize a deep understanding of our product assortment, relevant e-commerce growth strategies, marketing vehicles, engineering/functional opportunities combined with data-driven insights to take our site experience to the next level.
This role will be evaluated based on the ability to build compelling merchandising and marketing opportunities for our products, getting our cross-functional and brand partners to participate in these opportunities, optimizing the site for performance, and the financial performance of the merchandising and marketing campaigns.
Bachelor’s Degree required
5+ years working in a retail/e-commerce environment where you have been responsible for bringing products and brands to life on digital platforms and driving revenue in a strictly e-commerce environment.
3+ years managing multiple direct reports
Start up, e-commerce only experience is preferred
You are an owner who loves to bring projects from inception to completion. While you work closely with your team/partners you are able to get your hands dirty and see a project at the strategic and detailed level, simultaneously.
You are data driven, using data as your north star to guide all strategy and decision making. You are adept at using big data analytics platforms to monitor KPIs and draw new insights from complex, incremental analysis.
You are very comfortable collaborating closely with team members at all levels and being accountable for high-priority projects.
